Today i went to my monthly appointment at Chrildrens Hospital. The regular rutine took place; Height and weight, blood pressure, temperature... But as I went to get my blood work there was a change. I had been ordered for almost 12 different tests. It seemed strange to me, but my name and birthday were on each tube so it had to be done. Later on, as i was being examined by one of the transplant doctors, I was reminded that I am now in my 12 month. Which means i can basically declare that i have beaten Sickle Cell Disease!!!! 7/24 will mark the official year. A year without complications, relaspes, or any negative effects.
I will get all my immunization shots and body scans throughout this and next month. But of course I am over joyed.
