I went back to school January 5th and my plan to surprise everyone went perfectly. I haven't posted since because I wanted to have my final grades first; to show that the transplant had no effects on my brain. My grades have always been great but this marking period it was especially important.

I am all caught up in every class. My teachers have stopped treating me like "the sick kid", and I am finally a normal student. Just smarter. lol ;}
We had a question about me being able to touch the chemicals used to preserve organs in Anatomy class. The first time we dissected the sheep's heart I participated not aware of it being a problem or not. Once we were finished cleaning up it dawned on me that maybe I shouldn't have participated without being sure. It turns out that I am cleared to participate with the dissections and there was no problem.

Dear Kwame,
My nephew has SC Disease and has been in CHOP several times with pain crises and fevers. I know that your story of positive forward thinking will be an encouragement to him. May God continue to bless you as you live the life He has planned for you.
Peace
