Today was the first day since the transplant that I was able to get back to my extended family. The Sickle Cell Parent Support Group at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children hosted a Christmas party and I was their surprise guest. Normally I'm their helping to keep the kids occupied. Everyone knew I was on restrictions from the BMT, so they weren't expecting me. It was a big surprise and a lot of fun.
Also, January marks 6 months. Therefore, I can return to school. I trying to keep the actual date a secret as well so that I can make a surprise return there also.
